Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies its results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Details
Our host may maintain standard server logs, including an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or related tools may support simple analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference pages. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links lead to county and state portals, libraries, archives, and outside search tools. Information you provide to those services is governed by their policies, not this one. Sponsored result tools are provided by a separate company.
When Data May Be Shared
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We otherwise disclose data only when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only as long as operational needs require. Since the service has no accounts, it has no user password or account profile to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This service is for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent us information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code chapter 541, provides rights subject to statutory exceptions, including public-record exclusions. Because we retain very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Texas city, county, and state records remain under their own custodians and statutes, so a request about one belongs with that office.
Policy Changes
We will post revisions to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the current policy.
